TALK: Has success changed The Square? Gossip says yes; we're undecided; but what has changed is their concert destination; they're on their way to California to kick off their U.S. West Coast Square Up Tour - It doesn't take much to figure out that singer-songwriter Kristi Kates has some serious singing talent; but judging by the preview copy we received, it's pretty obvious that the new music video from the lovely musician will also be a big hit - Guitarist Taylor Michel's CD hasn't exactly been flying off the shelves; this comes as a great surprise to those who swamped his outdoor shows here in May, but one reason for this could be its excessive pricing; the 2-disc set retails for $24.99, a little expensive for Michel, who is essentially an independent artist; although we do still love his music, a price break might be in order - Next week, watch for a rundown of the early 2005 tour season, plus another bit of news regarding our boys The Cavemen, plus an update on Queen Street's Vortex Records.
